On Thursday, February 18th, Year 12 English Standard students were given the opportunity to work with the performance poet, Luka Lesson. The students have studied Luka’s work ‘May Your Pen Grace the Page’ as part of their HSC English Course. Luka performed a range of his work for the students, spoke to them about his experiences as a professional poet and led the students through their own compositions.

Luka also performed for Year 9 students as part of their ‘Cultural Voices’ unit. Their assessment task for this unit is to compose and perform their own poetry and Luka led them through an activity to begin this process.
